Portland Vibes, TLVO-Style

We barely had a minute to regroup after NYE festivities when we had to start packing for a trip to one of our favorite cities in the US, Portland! We enjoyed some seriously delicious eats, architecture, thrifting and meeting friendly locals!

I lived in Portland many years ago and always look forward to visiting.  I was looking forward to this trip in particular because I could finally show my husband around!  We hadn’t rented a car, but found that we didn’t need to, with Portland’s awesome public transportation options.  One of the best things about Portland is their love for comfort food.  Serious Foodies know all about Portland.  Almost everywhere we dined at had a poutine menu option.  This quickly became my go-to side dish, despite it’s greasy composition.  Check out some quick shots of our week in Portland below!

Portland has an extremely efficient (and clean) Railcar system. I was very impressed.

We enjoyed a few sunny days but I found I preferred the overcast weather the NW was known for.  We had a chance to check out a few shows at Holocene and Ringlers Annex, which was one of the things I wanted to do while in PDX, anyway.  I also had a chance to go nuts at my favorite shops, Rerun and Vintage By The Pound.

After a week of stuffing face, walking around and shopping we were ready to head back to warm and sunny Colorado.  We look forward to visiting again, perhaps in the summer, to explore more of Portland.

Portland is truly a beautiful place — one where you are sure to find your VIBE.
